I am happy to say that Veronika is done with formula! No more Enfamil Gentlease, just 3.25% whole milk!

I’ve spent the past month gradually transitioning her from formula to milk by mixing the two together until she was mostly taking milk. And today, before her afternoon nap, she took an entire bottle of just milk and drank it like a champ. Way to go, Nika!

The next step is to wean her off the bottle since she still takes 3 bottles each day (morning, before nap, and at bedtime), but I am not planning on it for another couple of months. I don’t think she’s ready for that just yet. Our baby is growing up!

Natasha has entered the wonderful world of ‘pretend play’. She now loves to pretend that things are not what they really are… it’s pretty funny. This morning, for instance, she built a long, thin tower from her Lego blocks and told me it’s a “very big candle!” I said, “That’s a candle?!”, and she said, “Yes! That’s a very big candle.” She also likes to ‘borrow’ my kitchen towels and pretend that they’re blankets for her stuffed animals and trains. And for some reason, our hair brush is no longer that – a hair brush. It’s now a ‘shower’. Go figure! (I guess it does kind of resemble a shower head).

This morning she pointed at Matthew as he was living for work and said, “That’s Nika!” And Matthew then pointed at himself and asked, “I am Nika?” At which pointed Natasha cracked up and goes, “Noooooo, that’s Papa!!” She does this all the time now =)

Our oldest munchkin turns 2 1/2 today. Happy 1/2 birthday sweet baby girl! And even though you are becoming so big and talking in sentences, you are still my baby girl to me. This half year went by way too fast but we’re enjoying the smart, interesting person that you have become!

Meet Spider-Tash!

LOL. This isn’t a costume… these are PJ’s!

Back around Halloween time, Matthew wanted me to get Natasha a Spider-Man costume, but I couldn’t find one anywhere. Actually, I did find one in OUAC, but it was the wrong size and was all washed out. So she ended up being something else… Then just two days ago, I saw these PJ’s in Winners and just couldn’t pass them… I have to say she makes adorable Spider-Man! Doesn’t she? :)

Happy 11 months to our sweet little baby! Only one month until your 1st Birthday! You’re now crawling and cruising and walking if we hold your hand. You’re eating table foods and drinking from a sippy cup. Where did the time go?!
