At the mall, enjoying her surroundings

If you noticed the time on this entry, and if you're a mommy, you might ask yourself what type of mother blogs at 11:15pm. Well, to be honest, I am only up this late because it's Matthew's night to feed the baby!! Haha. Yes, Matthew has been very good at taking over the Friday and Saturday night feedings, while I do weekdays. Isn't he a great husband? I know many husbands wouldn't bother, accounting this responsibility to be exclusively the mom's job. Blah. Well, anyway, it's not all that bad for either one of us because Natasha has been sleeping from 8:30pm till 4:30-6:00am which is fantastic! For five months that's a big deal because I know that plenty of babies this young still wake up every 2-3 hours and demand their food. So I guess we can be proud of that.

Something else weird that's going on is the way Natasha is eating. Both formula and solids - she eats like a pro! Now, why is this weird, you ask? Well, because when I plug-in her weight stats into a growth percentile calculator, she is under the 5th percentile... And I find this to be radiculous! She eats some good 150-180ml every 3-4 hours during the day, which is exactly how much a baby her age should be taking in; on top of that, she consumes 1/2 a cup of rice or oat cereal mixed with fruit or veggie each evening and she hasn't even disliked any food I introduced her to yet... She loves it all. Then why is she under the 5th percentile weight wise??? Now, this isn't necessarily a bad thing, it's just that it's a bit confusing to me, that's all. Her pedi isn't too concerned either, so for now I will let it be. I am just so happy that she's such a good eater, and I guess as long as she's a happy, well-nutritioned baby, that's all that counts. Right?

Today I received a package from Pampers. The colorful caption on it stated 'many free coupons inside!', but there were only two. They also included one size 3 diaper which is pretty useless considering Natasha is still in size 1's... Blah again. Oh, and of course the free package I requested from Huggies, which was supposed to include a backpack with many goodies is about two months overdue to be delivered. Great. I guess you can never rely on anything that is "free", BECAUSE NOTHING IS FREE! lol. Ok, I am done with my daily vent now. You have a good night.

she looks healthy and happy, though if you are worried, you can ask your doc to do a blood test, she may have an overactive thyroid or perhaps its in ur genes, some ppl can eat piles of food a day and dont gain any weight at all!

Aida - you're right, my husband is one of those people who can eat whatever he wants and not gain a pound! Maybe she really does take after him =)
