What is your baby most afraid of?
Natasha is terrified most of the ambulance/police/fire-fighting siren and something new we discovered yesterday: the air conditioner. I assume if you live in a small town or a rural community, you wouldn't hear the 911 sirens on a regular basis, but in a city the size of Toronto it's pretty common. And so whenever we're out walking and Natasha hears the loud siren nearby, she raises her little hands, places them above her head and dissolves into tears. It's the saddest thing ever!
And back to the air conditioner - yesterday the weather was up to 30 degrees Celsius and so we turned the air conditioner on in our living room. The moment the cold air started coming out (with a loud "shhh" noise), poor Natasha got the most terrified look on her face, raised her hands up, and started bowling. Aww. We even tried taking her in and out of the living room a few times, but nothing helped. And today we experimented with it once more, but the poor kid would have none of it. So for now we have to boil until our little chicken toughens up.
Some other things she's afraid of are noisy bags, loud rattles, and harsh voices.
